Bergen P.T. Associates has provided innovative work simulation services for 
38 years. Dr. Phillips was one of the first to bring work hardening service to Northern New Jersey in the early 1980s and continues to provide this one-of-a-kind service in his 4,800 square foot work simulation facility. 

BPTA provides comprehensive work hardening service for all professions with high physical demands, with a particular specialization in the police, firefighter, DPW, and industrial occupations.

Workers perform actual work-related functions, including material handling tasks, body mechanics instruction, hand and power tool operation, and replica firearms simulation and weapon protection for police and homeland security personnel. Firefighters wear 20 to 60-lb weighted vests to simulate work in their turn-out gear.
